How we got here

Lisa and Marko sitting close together in a gondola on a canal in Venice, old brick buildings on either side

It all started under the stars on July 14, 2020, the night Lisa became Marko's girlfriend. College and sports kept us long distance for several years, but the miles never changed a thing.

On June 1, 2026, Marko asked Lisa to be his wife, and she said yes.

Kalemegdanska Terasa

The only restaurant inside the Belgrade Fortress

Kalemegdanska Terasa sits on the ramparts of the Belgrade Fortress, where the Sava meets the Danube. The terrace looks west over the confluence, so the ceremony will end as the sun goes down over the water.

Dinner and dancing move inside to the glass conservatory and the great hall, both a few steps from the terrace.

Ceremony at 16:00. Taxis drop at the Kalemegdan park entrance; allow ten minutes to walk through the fortress.

What should I wear?

Cocktail attire. The ceremony is partially outdoors on the fortress terrace with cobbled paths, so consider block heels or flats. Evenings in late June are warm (around 25°C).
